Completed in 2021 and barely lived in since, The Lantern House was designed around a single idea: that a house on this plot should get out of the way of it. Bronze-framed glazing runs the length of the ground floor, so the water reads as another room rather than something you look at.
Inside, the palette is deliberately quiet — smoked oak, honed travertine, river stone and unlacquered brass that will warm with age. The lower ground floor holds a pool, gym and cinema; above, a principal suite with its own terrace faces straight down the water.
